Writing School for Early Career Researchers – March 2026

Team of diverse professionals in a modern office participating in a collaborative meeting, with a presenter pointing at a flipchart."

A five-day onsite Publication and Communication Skills Training will take place in Skierniewice, Poland (March 2–6, 2026). Designed for early career researchers, the program focuses on strengthening scientific writing, publishing, and communication skills.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Write and publish effectively in reputable scientific journals
  • Communicate research results clearly to peers, stakeholders, and policymakers.
  • Use AI responsibly in academic writing.
  • Deliver impactful presentations and deliver on social media platforms.
  • Develop communication strategies aligned with Horizon Europe’s impact pathways.

The training combines lectures, workshops, and practical exercises led by experts from the University of Copenhagen (Michael Bom Frøst) and external specialists.

This is a unique opportunity for the early career researchers in HortiFoodTrends to enhance their academic writing and broaden their communication skills for diverse audiences.

In addition to the skills and competences you develop, you will receive a course certificate detailing the content. This may allow you to obtain credits at your home university. The course extent, including the report, is equivalent to 3 ECTS.

The course is also open to a limited number of other early-career researchers and PhD students who are not affiliated with the HortiFoodTrends project. There is no course fee for attending the course, but costs related to travel and accommodation are at your own expense.

Write to Michael Bom Frøst at mbf@food.ku.dk to learn more about the course.
