A researcher from the National Institute of Horticultural Research (InHort) in Skierniewice, PhD student Jan Zdulski, is undertaking a scientific internship at the University of Copenhagen from 26 to 30 January 2026.
The internship is conducted under the supervision of Michael Bom Frøst, an expert in the field of sensory food analysis.
The objective of the training is to deepen the knowledge and practical skills of InHort staff in the analysis of data obtained from sensory studies and in integrating these data with the results of physical and chemical analyses of food. This activity aims to improve the data analysis process. New statistical approaches allow for faster processing of raw data and a deeper understanding of the complex relationships embedded within it. The ability to identify patterns—particularly through the use of machine learning algorithms—is currently one of the most rapidly developing fields in food science.
The knowledge and experience gained at the University of Copenhagen will support Jan in continuing his research and coordinating sensory analysis activities at InHort.
