From 8 to 11 September 2026, two researchers from the Research Institute of Horticulture – National Research Institute (IO-PIB) are participating in the 12th European Conference on Sensory and Consumer Research – EuroSense 2026 held in Oslo, Norway.
EuroSense is one of the leading international conferences dedicated to sensory science and consumer research, bringing together researchers and industry professionals from around the world. This year’s conference, held under the theme „A Sense of Impact,” focuses on current developments in sensory and consumer science, including new research methodologies, health and well-being, sustainable consumption, innovation, and the use of emerging technologies in food research.
During the conference, IO-PIB researchers are presenting results from the HortiFoodTrends project, focusing on consumer expectations and preferences towards berry fruits considered “super fruits”. Their participation in EuroSense 2026 provides an excellent opportunity to disseminate the project results internationally, exchange knowledge and experience, and establish new contacts with experts in sensory and consumer research.
We are particularly proud that our contributions were recognised for their outstanding contribution to the EuroSense 2026 conference programme. Our posters were included among 30 ECR abstracts from 21 countries selected for this distinction, highlighting the scientific relevance and quality of the research carried out within the HortiFoodTrends project.

Yours sincerely,
The HortiFoodTrends Team
